5th December 2004 Windsurfing: Sprecks, Maui Wind Direction: E Wind Stength: F4-6 Surf / Sea State: 4ft Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Have come down with a cold and sore throat in the tropics!! So not feeling 100% but you can't waste a day in paradise so it was out with the 4.7 Combat and Thommen X75 for more fun on the waves. The wind was a bit iffy to start with but filled in, so I headed out onto the reef for a play. Matt Pritchard and John Skye were out also and it was impressive to see them tear apart the small waves, made my frontside riding look quite pedestrian. The wind eased off toward the end of the day so I borrowed my mates 5.0 Combat with a JP FSW 91. The board felt incredibly heavy as though it had taken on water. Good job we've got the kit insurance. Another excellent day and it's inspiring to be sharing the water with the people you normally see in the mags. |
